All Slovak ministers would like to go to the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow. This was announced on May 14 by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in an interview with the Slovak edition of Plus JEDEN DE.

"Do you know how many ministers wanted to be in my delegation? If I had opened the door on the plane today like that and said, come with me to the delegation, they would all have gone, since they are sitting there in this government," he said in an interview published on the publication's YouTube channel.

Fico stressed that all members of the Slovak government knew about his trip and no one opposed it.

"I went and laid flowers at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier because I respect those who fell," he said.

The Prime Minister added that during his trip to Moscow, he held a "marathon" of four meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam.

On May 11, Fico announced that the head of the European Diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, was once again trying to tell the leader of a sovereign state what to do, which was unacceptable and required personal discussion. He added that this was the second time Callas had declared that European politicians should not travel to Moscow.

On May 10, Fico stressed that his trip to Moscow for Victory Day was extremely successful. According to the Prime Minister, this trip highlights the manifestation of Slovakia's sovereign foreign policy. She brought the country diplomatic recognition at a high international level.
