Over the past few years, Russia has managed to create a number of engineering developments that can both strengthen the country's technological sovereignty and attract the interest of foreign partners. On May 14, Izvestia was informed about this at the Southern Federal University (SFU) during the presentation of the results of the Advanced Engineering Schools project.

Among such technologies, we can single out a unified simulation and modeling complex for scenarios, models and algorithms for the functioning of robotic complexes and their basic components (control systems, navigation systems, vision systems, automation systems), automated test systems for orbiting spacecraft in demand in the space industry, as well as resonators of microelectromechanical systems necessary for the production of microcircuits and other MEMS technologies.

The organization stressed that all these developments were created on the basis of the Advanced Engineering School (SFU) and can be scaled up in the coming years.

The flagship project of the Ministry of Education and Science "Advanced Engineering Schools" has been implemented since 2022, 50 schools have been created within the framework of the project, and by 2030, on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, their number should be increased to 100. Together with partner companies, they develop technological projects for the development of priority industries.

On February 6, Putin noted the importance of ensuring the superiority of high-tech technologies in various fields in the Russian Federation. In addition, he recalled that in 2024 he instructed the government to expand work on technical education, training of engineering personnel and skilled workers in priority areas of scientific and technological development.
