The Moscow Meshchansky court extended the measure of restraint to the wife of the ex-mayor of Sochi, Yanina Kopaygorodskaya. She will remain in jail until August 17, 2025. This was reported on May 14 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

Kopaygorodskaya cried the whole process. Her young children came to the hearing, who could only see their parents through the bars. Her two-year-old son does not speak because of the psychological trauma caused by the absence of his mother.

On April 15, it was reported that Kopaygorodskaya wanted to meet her children in jail, as she had never seen them since her arrest. The wife of the ex-mayor of Sochi has five children, the youngest of whom is only a year old.
