Oksana Shevchenko, a defendant in the case of the attempted assassination of the head of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, the press service of the Southern District Military Court reported on May 14.

"The verdict in the criminal case against Oksana Viktorovna Shevchenko, accused of committing crimes under Part 1 of Article 30, paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 and Part 4 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, was announced," the court's Telegram channel said.

According to the verdict, the defendant will have to spend 10 years in a correctional colony of general regime, with a fine of 500 thousand rubles.
