A woman was injured when a car was hit in Pskov.

In Pskov, a female pedestrian was injured as a result of a hit-and-run by a foreign car. This was reported to the Pskov news feed in the department of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Pskov.

The hit-and-run occurred on Wednesday morning, May 14, on Leon Pozemsky Street. In the area of house No. 83, a Hyundai Santa Fe car hit a 58-year-old woman, who, according to preliminary data, ran onto the road because of cars standing in the left lane.

Previously, as a result of the incident, the pedestrian suffered a brain contusion with hemorrhage, and doctors also revealed a fracture of the frontal bone. The victim is in the neurosurgery department.

The traffic police clarified that the crossover was driven by a woman born in 1984. She was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.

In mid-February, an 18-year-old passenger of an Audi-100 passenger car, which had crashed into a lighting pole at high speed 20 days earlier, died in a Pskov hospital. According to police, the 19-year-old Audi driver lost control while trying to avoid a collision with a Lada Priora, the 22-year-old driver of which drove into an unregulated intersection.
