The Central Bank of Russia will issue a silver commemorative coin for the 100th anniversary of the Artek International Children's Center. This was announced on May 14 by the press service of the Central Bank.
"We are issuing a commemorative silver coin for the 100th anniversary of the Artek International Children's Center. The three—ruble coin is being released in the series "Historical Events," the Telegram channel says.
Artek is located on the southern coast of Crimea. In Soviet times, it was the most famous pioneer camp in the USSR and was considered the hallmark of the country's pioneer organization.
It is currently one of the largest international children's centers in the world. During the existence of Artek, more than 1.8 million children have been there.
On April 8, it became known that the Central Bank of Russia will issue commemorative coins for the anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. It was specified that the circulation of the three-ruble silver coin with the logo of the 80th anniversary of Victory celebration will be 3,000 copies. The circulation of a 50—ruble gold coin with the same image is 1,000 copies.
