Willy Khshtoyan, a Soviet diplomat and the husband of actress Nadezhda Rumyantseva, famous for the film "Girls," died at the age of 93. This was announced on May 14 by a source of Izvestia.

According to his family, Khshtoyan was found dead in his apartment on Chernyakhovsky Street in Moscow. It is specified that Khshtoyan suffered from chronic diseases, no signs of violent death were found.

Willy Khshtoyan was born in Moscow in 1932. He graduated from the Moscow Financial Institute and two years after receiving his diploma began his career as an economist at the Russian-Iranian Bank in Tehran.

Khshtoyan was a representative of the USSR in Egypt and Malaysia, chairman of Vneshposiltorg. Since 1967, he became the husband of Rumyantseva, with whom he lived in marriage until the death of the actress in 2008. The couple had no children together.
