AFK Sistema supports the Forum of Young Scientists

From May 21 to 23, the All-Russian Forum of Young Scientists and Entrepreneurs U-NOVUS will be held in Tomsk with the support of AFK Sistema, the press service of the corporation reported. This year, the central theme of the forum will be technological leadership and personnel training for high-tech sectors of the economy.

Commenting on the topic of the forum, AFK Sistema President Tagir Sitdekov said that the company considers the current economic situation to be a time of opportunity. He noted that the corporation "invested in the industries of the future even before it became mainstream and everyone started talking about technological sovereignty. These are, for example, satellite and unmanned technologies, microelectronics, electric-powered ships and much more."

Sitdekov recalled that AFK Sistema and its charitable foundation have been holding a joint competition for young scientists with the Russian Academy of Sciences for the second year in a row, which in 2024 received almost 350 applications from representatives of more than 75 research and educational organizations from 45 regions of the country. As part of the forum, the corporation will organize a business breakfast for young scientists with the participation of high-tech Russian companies, whose representatives will talk about innovations and promising vectors of technological development, such as space exploration.

According to the head of AFK Sistema, this year it scaled up its educational partnership with Bauman Moscow State Technical University by launching evening schools on microelectronics, aerodynamics and strength for students of technical universities in Russia in addition to a joint school on hydrogen energy. The opening of the student space at Tomsk Polytechnic University will take place during the forum. The corporation plans to create new joint laboratories, educational programs and partnerships with leading universities and scientific institutes.
