Poland will not send its soldiers to Ukraine. This was announced on May 14 by the country's Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.

This is how he reacted to the statement by the special envoy of the US President, Keith Kellogg, who mentioned the possibility of deploying European forces to the west of the Dnieper River with the participation of four countries, including Poland.

"If Poland becomes a part of this operation, provided that it (the operation. — Ed.) will take place, our participation in this operation will not include the presence of Polish soldiers on Ukrainian soil," he said in an interview with the Internet portal Оnet.pl .

Sikorski also stressed that Warsaw would not change its position, even if other Western countries decided to participate.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on April 24 that the deployment of Western military contingents in Ukraine was unacceptable to Russia. He also noted that this initiative poses a critical threat to the security of the whole of Europe.
