Zyryanka Airport in Yakutia temporarily does not accept or send aircraft due to flooding. This was announced on May 14 by the representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency Artem Korenyako.

"Zyryanka Airport <...> temporarily does not accept or send planes due to flooding of the unpaved runway," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

Korenyako clarified that the restrictions were introduced from 04:00 Moscow time. In addition, he noted that the flooding occurred as a result of ice on the Kolyma River, since the airport is located on its left bank.

"The runway equipment was dismantled in advance and moved to a safe place," the report says.

On May 10, Korenyako announced that Kadala Airport in Chita was temporarily not accepting or sending aircraft due to a landscape fire outside the airfield. He added that the situation is under control, and there is no threat to flight safety and the airport.
