The AFD leader criticized Merz's policy after his call for Germans to work more

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has no idea what ordinary German workers do every day. This was announced on May 14 by Alice Weidel, co-chairman of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.
This is how Weidel reacted to Merz's words that the Germans should work harder.
"Germany must 'work harder to ensure prosperity': Merz has no idea what ordinary workers do every day, while most of their taxes are squandered on policies that do not meet either their interests or the interests of the country," she wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Earlier in the day, AfD party member Elena Fritz said that Germany could face serious losses in its industrial base in the next 5-10 years if the current course does not change radically. According to her, the strikes at Ford plants and the departure of Mercedes should not be seen as temporary difficulties, they are just symptoms of a deeper process of erosion.
