Up to six States can join the Abraham Agreements on the normalization of relations between Arab countries and Israel. This was announced on May 14 by Stephen Witkoff, special envoy of the President of the United States Donald Trump.

"I am really confident that in the next couple of months we will have four or five, maybe six countries that will join the Abraham Accords, and this will be a great signal to the world about President Trump's foreign policy initiatives to promote peace and stability around the world," he said in an interview with the Brietbart publication.

He expressed the opinion that the potential for normalization of Israel's relations with Lebanon and Syria can be seen soon. Witkoff noted that positive reactions are coming from them on this issue. In addition, according to him, Libya, Azerbaijan and Armenia can join the Abraham Agreements.

The American special envoy stressed that the agreements are an important initiative of Trump. He noted that they contribute to peace and stability in the region as a whole.

On May 10, The Jerusalem Post reported on Trump's plans to announce U.S. recognition of a Palestinian state during his visit to the Middle East in mid-May. It was clarified that if such a statement is made, it will be a significant step that can change the balance of power in the region.

On April 11, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared the impossibility of peace without the creation of the State of Palestine. He also called on all members of the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), to take responsibility, "stop the bloodshed and support the Palestinian people."
