Belarusian border guards found the corpse of a refugee on the border with Latvia. This was announced on May 14 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Belarus.

"Belarusian border guards found the body of a foreigner in Verkhnedvinsky district. He was in a sleeping bag near the border with Latvia. An investigative task force was leaving for the scene," the Telegram channel said.

It is specified that abrasions, scratches and bruises were found on the man's body. In addition, judging by the documents found, the man is presumably a citizen of Afghanistan.

All the circumstances of the incident are currently being established.

On May 5, Belarusian border guards found a pregnant foreign woman unconscious on the border with Latvia. It was noted that the documents and mobile phone were not found on the girl during the examination. In addition, she had a bruise on her face.
