Portuguese presidential candidate Andre Ventura became ill during his speech at a rally in Tavira, Portugal. This was reported on May 13 by the newspaper Diário de Notícias.

According to preliminary data, he suffered an attack of hypertension. It is noted that the presidential candidate spent the night in the Faro hospital under medical supervision to determine the exact diagnosis.

In turn, Ventura posted on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter) shared his condition.

"Good morning, everyone. I am being treated very well at the Faro Hospital, and I hope that I will be discharged in the coming hours," he wrote.

Ventura has now been discharged from the hospital to continue his duties.

On May 3, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic was hospitalized after arriving from the United States. Later, a cardiologist at the Military Medical Academy (VMA) in Belgrade, Dragan Dincic, said that a possible cause of Vucic's indisposition was a sharp increase in blood pressure. According to him, the pressure readings were 165/98.
