The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) has nominated three athletes for the Golden Stick award, which is awarded to the most valuable hockey player of the regular season. This was announced on May 14 by the KHL press service.

The list of contenders includes strikers Artem Galimov from Ak Bars, Joshua Livo from Salavat Yulaev and Maxim Shabanov from Traktor.

"The winner of the Golden Stick prize is determined by the voting of the coaches of the teams that participated in the KHL championship. According to the results of the survey, Artyom Galimov from Ak Bars Kazan, Joshua Livo from Salavat Yulaev and Maxim Shabanov from Traktor were among the top three.

According to the KHL, Galimov became his team's top scorer, scoring 59 points in 68 matches. He also set a new record for the most goals in a single regular season.

Livo also showed an outstanding result, earning 80 points in 62 matches, becoming the best sniper and scorer of the first half of the season. In addition, he repeated the record of "Salavat Yulaev".

Maxim Shabanov scored 67 points in 65 games, breaking club records for points and assists in one regular season. Now he is the only one of the nominees who continues to fight for the Gagarin Cup.,
