- Zakharova called Callas a "packer" because of the words about working on sanctions against the Russian Federation.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called the head of EU diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, a packer against the background of the possible introduction of the 17th package of anti-Russian sanctions.
"A packer," the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote in her Telegram channel.
This is how Zakharova commented on Callas' words at the Copenhagen meeting about working on another sanctions list against Russia.
At a press conference following the meeting of EU foreign ministers in Warsaw on May 8, the head of the European Diplomacy said that the European Commission (EC) intends to adopt the 17th package of sanctions against Russia by May 20.
On May 10, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said it was an empty matter to intimidate Russia with sanctions. He noted that the country has already become accustomed to sanctions and knows how to mitigate their consequences after their introduction.
