AvtoVAZ introduced Lada Granta in a new version of Active Cross

The Lada Granta family of cars will be expanded with the launch of a new modification of the liftback called Active Cross with increased ground clearance and a protective body kit. This is stated in the message of AVTOVAZ, which was received by Izvestia on May 14.

The model is equipped with an upgraded chassis. The ground clearance was increased from 180 mm (for a conventional liftback) to 198 mm. Other features of the novelty at AvtoVAZ were the optimized geometry of the body with shortened overhangs and a smooth bottom without protruding elements, which should provide characteristics comparable to compact crossovers.

Lada Granta Active Cross will be equipped with 1.6-liter engines with a capacity of 90 and 106 hp and a five-speed manual transmission. The basic package will include two airbags, air conditioning, heated front seats, an audio system and other options. Details about the complete sets, prices and dates of the start of sales will be announced later.

Currently, the Granta liftback is offered in five versions at a price from 1.08 million to 1.3 million rubles.
