A resident of Norilsk was convicted of murdering a crime boss 18 years ago
A court has sentenced a resident of Norilsk to 13 years in a high-security penal colony for the exhaust fumes murder of a criminal boss in 2006. This was announced on May 14 by the press service of the Prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
It is specified that the criminal authority in 2006 quarreled with his acquaintances. Harboring a grudge and wanting to get rid of competitors, the instigator attracted two of his friends to the massacre. As a result, they abducted the men, locked them in a metal container, after which they connected a hose to the exhaust pipe of the car and filled the room with carbon monoxide from the running engine.
"One of the victims died due to carbon monoxide poisoning. The second victim, showing signs of life, was strangled by one of the "avengers" with his hands. The bodies of the men were thrown into a snowdrift in a deserted place in Norilsk," the Telegram channel says.
The department added that the crime remained unsolved for 18 years. However, in the end, the defendants were identified. As a result, the court sentenced the instigator to 13 years in a high-security penal colony.
"The criminal case against his accomplice has been suspended due to the conclusion of a contract for military service. The criminal prosecution of the third accomplice has been terminated due to his death," the prosecutor's office added.
On May 5, it became known that a man who inflicted grievous bodily harm on his girlfriend 28 years ago will appear in court in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The tragedy occurred in the city of Achinsk in 1997, when a drunk 25-year-old man pushed his girlfriend from the landing during an argument. As a result, the woman's body knocked out a window on the landing between the third and fourth floors and fell down. The accused himself admitted his guilt.
