Apologies from departed foreign companies that criticized Russia will not be enough. This was stated on May 13 by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with members of the all-Russian public organization Delovaya Rossiya.

According to him, foreign businesses personally ask him to allow them to return to the Russian market. Putin also noted that some companies left Russia with "tears in their eyes."

"Well, we see that a big business is coming to me, they want to return. For God's sake, please. But it's very important here, <...> first, we need to look at who behaved like that. <...> Someone was rude, insulted us, well, let them sit there somewhere, God be with them," the president said.

He believes that this will be especially insufficient in cases where foreign entrepreneurs have transferred funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

Earlier, on March 31, Kirill Logvinov, director of the Department of International Organizations at the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that foreign enterprises expect Russia to quickly "forget and forgive everything" against the background of the return of Western brands to the territory of the Russian Federation.
