In the Zeya district, the only wooden bridge separating the city of Zeya and the village of Polyakovsky burned down. This was announced on Wednesday, May 14, by the press service of the Prosecutor's office of the Amur region.

"It was established that on the night of May 14, on the 108th km of the Zeya-Polyakovsky communication road, a wooden bridge over the Gluboky key burned down, as a result of which there is no transport connection to the settlement," the department said in a Telegram channel.

The prosecutor's office launched an investigation into the fire. The service organization is taking measures to equip a bypass of this section of the road, they said.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

On April 13, in the south-west of Sakhalin, a part of the roadside collapsed in place of a water pipe. As a result of the incident, the movement of all vehicles along the highway connecting the cities of Nevelsk and Tomari with Shakhtersk airport was prohibited.
