A member of the Donbass terrorist battalion was detained in the LPR
A military man in the ranks of the Donbass battalion (a terrorist organization banned in the territory of the Russian Federation) was detained in the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR). This was reported on May 13 in the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) for the region.
The criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Article 205.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Participation in a terrorist community").
"The person involved in the criminal case, having completed specialized training on the territory of Ukraine, joined the ranks of the 46th separate assault battalion "Donbass", - follows from the publication of the department in Telegram.
It is specified that after arriving at the unit of the Investigative Committee, the accused confessed. Now the investigation will ask the court to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
The regional SU of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation added that the collection of evidence is currently continuing, as well as checking the involvement of the defendant in the commission of other crimes.
Earlier, on April 28, it was reported that a terrorist who planned to blow up the head of a defense enterprise in Udmurtia was sentenced to 18 years in a high-security penal colony. It is clarified that after the terrorist attack, a Russian citizen born in 1990 planned to enter the territory of Ukraine through third countries in order to take part in hostilities on the side of the Kiev regime.
