A mother with many children from Kamchatka, deprived of parental rights, illegally received 800 thousand rubles in subsidies from the national Demography project. This was announced on Wednesday, May 14, by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kamchatka Territory.

They clarified that a criminal case had been opened against the woman on the fact of embezzlement of budget funds on a large scale (Part 3 of Article 159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

"According to preliminary data, the woman, being the mother of five young children, reliably knowing about the entry into force of the court decision on the deprivation of her parental rights and the transfer of children into custody, kept silent about the facts leading to the termination of payments," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

The investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.

On April 28, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation announced the initiation of a criminal case on embezzlement of budget funds during the execution of the state defense order against Oleg Vasenin, ex-deputy head of the Department of property of special projects of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. It was established that in 2022 a contract was signed with Translom LLC for the provision of services for the acceptance of secondary raw materials. Subsequently, Vasenin provided deliberately false documents about the cost of the work and committed embezzlement of budget funds in the amount of over 240 million rubles.
