Bright cosmetics packaging, laudatory reviews, promises of "effect from the first application" — all this is aimed at selling the product. This was announced on Wednesday, May 14, by dermatologist, cosmetologist and dermatooncologist Valentina Nasonova.

"As a dermatologist and pharmacology specialist, I warn against using cosmetics from celebrities, bloggers, and brands popular on social media. This category includes both mass-market brands and luxury ones," she explained in an interview with Gazeta.Ru».

According to her, in such products, up to 90% of the cost is accounted for only by marketing, and not by the research base and clinically proven effectiveness.

Beauty boxes can also be ineffective. According to the doctor, they are presented as a unique opportunity to try many new and useful things, but, in fact, they are just a marketing tool.

On March 20, Alexandra Pashkova, a dermatologist at the Semeynaya clinic network, noted in a conversation with Izvestia that with the onset of spring, the skin is facing new challenges: temperature fluctuations, increased solar activity, and vitamin deficiency. The specialist reported on the importance of hydration this season, as after winter, the skin is often dehydrated due to prolonged exposure to low temperatures and dry indoor air. To maintain the water balance, Pashkova advised using products with hyaluronic acid.
