The head of the Novocherkassk city administration in the Rostov region, Yuri Lysenko, was detained on Tuesday, May 13, as part of a corruption investigation.
According to a source in Izvestia, Lysenko is suspected of receiving a bribe. Searches are currently underway as part of the investigation.

On April 30, the Dorogomilovsky court in Moscow sentenced Dmitry Daudashvili, former deputy head of the special fire department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, to 15 years in a high-security penal colony for accepting a particularly large bribe. According to the state prosecution, Daudashvili received bribes for patronage in his service from the head of the 36th special Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Altai Territory, Viktor Velikodny.
