Traktor defeated Lokomotiv in the first match of the Gagarin Cup final

Traktor Chelyabinsk Hockey Club defeated Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the first match of the Gagarin Cup final series. The game took place in Yaroslavl on May 13 and ended with a score of 2:1.

Chelyabinsk scored the decisive goals with a difference of 13 seconds at the beginning of the third period. Maxim Shabanov scored in the 44th minute, followed by Alexander Kadeikin. Maxim Berezkin scored the only goal for the hosts in the 54th minute.

For Traktor forward Andrey Svetlakov, the Gagarin Cup final series that began was the seventh in his career — he set a new Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) record for this indicator.

The score in the series of up to four wins became 1-0 in favor of Traktor. The next match will be held in Yaroslavl on May 15.
