Poland has begun the procedure of banning Milorad Dodik from entering

Poland will ban Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska (an entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH), from entering its territory. This was reported on May 13 by the Reuters news agency with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.
According to the ministry, the relevant measures were taken against the background of the deepening political crisis in Bosnia, where Dodik is accused of undermining the constitutional order.
"The procedure for banning Milorad Dodik from entering the country has begun. <...> The procedure continues. It will be completed in a few days," the Polish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
In addition, Germany and Austria had previously imposed similar restrictions on Dodik. Thus, Warsaw joined the European countries that oppose the attempts of the Bosnian Serbs to weaken the central government in the country.
Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksadr Vulin said on March 15 that he did not rule out the possibility of Dodik's arrest by the military of the European Union (EU). According to Vulin, attempts will be made to arrest Parliament Speaker Nenad Stevandic and Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic, among others, on a warrant from the court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On March 16, the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina decided to detain Dodik and Viskovic. They are accused of allegedly encroaching on the constitutional order. Later, on April 23, the Klix Internet portal.ba reported that employees of the State Investigation and Security Agency (SIPA) of BiH tried to detain the President of Republika Srpska in Eastern Sarajevo, but faced opposition from employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the entity.
On February 26, a court in Bosnia and Herzegovina sentenced Dodik to a year in prison in absentia and banned him from political activity for six years. This decision can be appealed.
