Families with children included in the program of preferential car loans

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, in accordance with the instructions of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, expanded the program of preferential car loans by launching the Family Car subprogram for large families. This was reported to Izvestia on May 13 by the ministry's press service.
"Starting from May 13 of this year, in addition to the existing categories of citizens, families with three or more children will be able to purchase a domestic car on more favorable terms with a 10% discount. Special conditions have also been introduced for the purchase of manually operated vehicles — a 40% discount on such vehicles for members of the SVO who were injured in a combat zone," the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
The ministry recalled that under the terms of the preferential car loan program, the basic discount is 20% (for residents of the Far Eastern Federal District — 25%) of the cost of a car with an internal combustion engine. The relevant parameters continue to apply to medical workers, education workers, members of the SVO and their family members, citizens with disabilities, as well as families with children who purchase a car in the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District (one child or more).
In 2025, cars with internal combustion engines costing up to 2 million rubles, gaining at least 2,000 localization points in accordance with the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated July 17, 2015 No. 719, will fall under the terms of the program. In addition, under the preferential car loan program, all categories of borrowers can purchase electric vehicles and sequential hybrids produced in the Russian Federation at a 35% discount, but not more than 925 thousand rubles, the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade emphasized.
Earlier, on April 22, it became known that in the first quarter of 2025, over 36 thousand cars were sold under demand incentive programs. The majority of vehicles sold under both programs were AvtoVAZ models.
