The expert spoke about the details of the upcoming OGE and GIA in Russia.

The period of state exams has begun in Russian schools, and this year the control over their conduct has become even stricter. Victoria Podsukhina, head of regional teaching at MAXIMUM Education, told Izvestia on May 13 what measures are being taken to prevent violations.
According to her, participants are prohibited from carrying phones, tablets and smart watches at all exam sites. At the entrance, they are checked with metal detectors, and personal belongings are left in special storages. Video surveillance is conducted in the classrooms, and in some regions the broadcast is online — the process is monitored by observers and supervisory authorities.
In addition, control and measuring materials (CMM) are printed right before the exam to avoid leaks. And after checking, the work is analyzed for coincidences: the systems look for signs of cheating, including for identical errors. If the suspicions are confirmed, the results will be annulled.
Digital monitoring measures are also in place: work is checked for coincidences, and systems analyze the likelihood of cheating, including through coincidences in errors. If suspicions are identified, the materials may be sent for a second expert review. In addition, monitoring of the Internet space and messengers is organized on the day of the exam in order to prevent attempts to distribute assignments or answers.
"In parallel, text analysis technologies are being tested, which make it possible to identify borrowings from open sources. This area is still in the pilot stage, but it is planned to be implemented more widely in the future," said Podsukhina.
As for the innovations, all adjustments to the Unified State Exam and the OGE are published until February. This year, the use of language tools in the Russian language exam has become more complicated, and the criteria for the essay-reasoning have changed. Mathematics remained unchanged. The OGE in Russian also corrected the essay: they clarified the wording and the scoring system.
Podsukhina noted that if a cyberattack, logistics failure or other emergency situation occurs, the exam will simply be postponed. There are no alternative delivery options.
"It is important to understand that if a violation is confirmed — whether it is cheating, using hints or carrying prohibited equipment — the exam results may be annulled. Responsibility can affect not only the students themselves, but also those who contributed to the violation," the expert emphasized.
Earlier, on March 28, Anastasia Yekushevskaya, academic director of the Skysmart online school, told Izvestia how to effectively use the remaining time to prepare for the Unified State Exam and minimize stress. According to her, if a student decides to prepare in a short period of two to three months, it is better for him to focus on one subject in order to achieve a good result.
