The psychologist listed the symptoms of chronic fatigue

Clinical psychologist Daria Salnikova explained the symptoms of chronic fatigue.
In an interview with Radio 1 on May 12, the specialist noted that chronic fatigue is a medical diagnosis. It is a persistent chronic disorder of the immune system, the cardiovascular system, and the hormonal system, which eventually leads to chronic fatigue.
"Due to stress, overexertion, and unstable functioning of the nervous system, we develop chronic diseases that confirm that chronic fatigue is a medical diagnosis," Salnikova explained.
According to her, constant drowsiness and insomnia are a serious sign of chronic fatigue. For example, a person sleeps for 12 hours for three or four days in a row and cannot get enough sleep. Or, on the contrary, he can't sleep properly for about two to three weeks. Because of this, discontent and loss of strength appear.
"Like any disease, chronic fatigue takes time to heal. And it is very important to take this seriously, that is, to accept that you are really sick," the psychologist concluded.
On May 13, nutritionist Lilia Starodubtseva said that chronic fatigue can be caused by a lack of important nutrients in the body. According to her, the body may receive few useful substances due to an unhealthy diet, or it may not absorb nutrients, for example, due to inflammation in the intestines, writes RT. The state of chronic fatigue, according to the expert, can cause a lack of substances such as vitamin D, iron, magnesium, B vitamins, coenzyme Q10, notes 360.ru .
On May 12, analysts at the Chitai-Gorod bookstore chain estimated that Russians began to read books about stress, emotional fatigue and burnout more often. In May, sales increased 1.5 times compared to April 2025, according to NSN.
At the end of April, Lyubov Stankevich, PhD, said that chronic fatigue may indicate an autoimmune disease. According to her, the real chronic fatigue syndrome is not just fatigue, but a stable state for no apparent reason, which prevents a person from living fully and recovering even after rest. She stressed that it is possible to confirm the diagnosis of "chronic fatigue syndrome" only by excluding other diseases.
Earlier, one of the leading Russian gerontologists, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexey Moskalev said that proper nutrition, support of intestinal microflora, and physical activity will help to get rid of chronic fatigue. It is also worth avoiding prolonged stress and working on improving sleep quality, according to the website. kp.ru .
Prior to this, doctor Georgy Kostyuk said that the causes of laziness can be both ordinary fatigue and psychological problems. According to the psychiatrist, laziness can be caused by psychological disorders, such as neurotic disorders, depressive episodes and other mental disorders that take away energy, IA Regnum notes.
