During the first day of US President Donald Trump's visit to Saudi Arabia, the two countries signed a package of agreements and investment commitments worth $600 billion. The corresponding statement was published on May 13 on the White House website.

Google, DataVolt, Oracle, Salesforce, AMD, and Uber are committed to investing $80 billion in advanced transformative technologies in both countries. The parties also signed a $142 billion defense cooperation agreement, under which Saudi Arabia will be provided with "modern military equipment and services from more than a dozen American defense companies."

"Major exports include gas turbines and GE Vernova energy solutions worth a total of $14.2 billion, as well as Boeing 737-8 passenger aircraft for AviLease worth a total of $4.8 billion," the document says.

The amount of all contracts corresponds to the figure agreed upon by the parties in advance, but before the meeting, Trump repeatedly stated that he wanted to "round up" the amount of the contract to $ 1 trillion.

Trump arrived in Saudi Arabia on May 13 as part of his first state tour since taking office as head of state in January. The US president landed at King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh. During the trip, the American delegation will expand cooperation with the Arabian monarchies. The United States will also discuss defense and security issues with Saudi Arabia, including the situations in the Gaza Strip, Yemen, and Ukraine. The visit of the US president will last until May 16.
