In Yekaterinburg, 318 bus stops with kiosks and rain shelters are planned to be dismantled by the end of 2025. This was stated by the head of the City Hall's transport department, Igor Oshchepkov, during a report to the City Duma Commission on economic development.

"As a result of the analysis, it was found that 318 bus shelters are planned to be demolished by the end of 2025. And in 2025, it is planned to install about 75 new bus shelters," the <url> news agency quotes the head of the Department of Transport.

According to Oschepkov, the cost of building one new bus stop is 1.4 million rubles. Funds have already been invested in this amount for the manufacture of the canopy and its installation, as well as the landscaping of the site after the removal of the kiosk.

In order to speed up the construction of new bus stops and install 32 more facilities this year, another 45 million rubles should be included in the budget, Oshchepkov noted, asking deputies to support him in this matter.

According to the <url> news agency, a total of 1.5 thousand stops have been installed in Yekaterinburg. Some of them have already lost their canopies after the kiosks were removed. From 2017 to 2024, 265 bus stops were replaced in the capital of the Urals.
