Patrushev highly appreciated the newest fishing vessel "Captain Sokolov"

Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, together with Andrey Chibis, Governor of the Murmansk Region, inspected the Kapitan Sokolov fishing vessel built under the investment quota mechanism during a working trip to the region on May 13.
"The fisheries sector is of great importance for the economy of the Murmansk Region. Users of the region catch more than 10% of the total Russian volume. Fishing enterprises of the region participate in the implementation of the investment quota mechanism, which makes it possible to upgrade the fishing fleet, increase processing, and improve production efficiency. In general, the keel quota mechanism has stimulated the revival of Russian commercial shipbuilding. Currently, the construction has been completed as part of the program.: 27 factories and 40 ships. Of these, 23 are fishing vessels and 17 are crab fishing vessels. During the period of operation of the mechanism, eight factories and six ships were built in the Murmansk Region," Patrushev said.
It is specified that one of these facilities is the fishing vessel Kapitan Sokolov. It houses a modern fish processing factory with a capacity of up to 150 tons of frozen fish and canned food per day. The freezing equipment of the vessel is capable of storing up to 1 thousand tons of fish.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted the innovative design of the forward part of the hull. It increases the working space on the ship, improves its seaworthiness, and has a positive effect on the ship's durability and navigation safety. It also provides the most comfortable living and working conditions for the crew.
On April 24, Patrushev visited the Nevsky Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant (SSZ) in the Leningrad Region and highly appreciated its production facilities. He stressed the importance of further professional development of the staff for the high-quality operation of the plant, and also noted the demand for its products.
