In the interdistrict hospital of the Minusinsk district in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, doctors made appointments with each other in order not to work during the May holidays. This was announced on May 13 by Alexander Zaitsev, Chairman of the Committee on Health and Social Policy of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, in his Telegram channel.

"In order to "free" themselves from work on holidays and pre-holidays, doctors themselves made appointments with each other, making an appointment for patients who needed medical care that was unavailable. In particular, the registrar made an appointment with a doctor 37 times during the inter—holidays, reducing the doctors' working hours by two hours," the channel's publication says.

The Regional Ministry of Health has launched an internal investigation. The prosecutor's office joined him.

After the investigation, the prosecutor will evaluate the actions of the staff and management of the medical institution, as well as the observance of the rights of residents to access medical care.

"Based on the results of the verification, the issue of adopting a set of prosecutorial response measures will be resolved," concluded interdistrict prosecutor Pavel Pavlov.

Earlier, on April 7, it was reported that the chief doctor of the Kansk interdistrict hospital was detained due to receiving a large bribe. During the search conducted in the suspect's apartments, law enforcement officers seized 940 thousand rubles, foreign currency, equipment and documents. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
