A farewell ceremony for the director of Soviet and Russian television, Kaleria Kislova, took place at the Troekurovsky Cemetery in Moscow. A video from the scene on May 13 is published by Izvestia.

Relatives of Kislova, her friends and colleagues came to say goodbye. Many warmly recalled the different stages of her life, noted her talent and experience.

"She has devoted almost her entire professional life to working on television. She started working for Central Television in 1961. Her first job was to broadcast the meeting of the first cosmonaut Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin," recalled journalist and radio host Mikhail Kunitsyn.

He called Kislova a person with a unique destiny, drawing attention to her numerous awards.

"We have been in contact with her for many years. <...> We are grateful to her for this communication and for the experience that she passed on to her colleagues," said Konstantin Ernst, General Director of Channel One.

The death of Kaleria Kislova, who headed the Vremya program for more than 20 years, became known on May 10. The director died at the age of 99.

Kislova joined television in 1961, starting as an assistant director. Later, she directed the filming of the 1980 Olympics and the first USSR-USA teleconference. The director was an Honored Artist of the RSFSR and a laureate of the USSR State Prize.
