The area of forest fires spread in the Trans-Baikal Territory exceeded 500 thousand hectares. On May 13, the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region was informed about this.

"In the Trans—Baikal Territory, there are 45 forest fires on more than 576 thousand hectares, of which seven fires are localized on more than 117 thousand hectares," the department's Telegram channel says.
