The expert appreciated Germany's refusal to openly discuss supplies to Ukraine

Germany's decision to refuse to openly discuss supplies to Ukraine is a technological trick. Andrey Koshkin, head of the Department of Political Analysis and Socio-Psychological Processes at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, military expert, told Izvestia on May 13.
"This is a trick, a technological, political trick. If [former German Chancellor Olaf] Scholz was forced to discuss supplies, for which he was criticized by opposition forces, then [current German Chancellor Friedrich] Merz decided to solve this problem as follows, he classified everything," he said.
The expert noted that the new German government, led by Merz, has repeatedly advocated the transfer of long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine. They contain American components, which prevents the German government from disposing of the Taurus the way it wants, he recalled.
"It's kind of a win for them (for Germany. — Ed.) a political technological ploy. They simply classified all information about Ukraine's support. No one knows," he concluded.
The Euractiv portal, citing sources in the German Ministry of Defense, reported that the German government would no longer openly comment on data on supplies to Ukraine and, in particular, the possible transfer of Taurus to Kivu.
On May 12, German Foreign Minister Johann Vadefuhl said that Germany was ready to continue supplying weapons to Ukraine if Moscow and Kiev did not reach a ceasefire agreement.
On May 7, Friedrich Merz, who took office as German Chancellor, avoided a question from a ZDF journalist about the supply of Taurus cruise missiles to Kiev. However, he noted that the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, can rely on him and Germany.
