The summer wellness campaign of schoolchildren has begun in the Murmansk region


Preparations for a large-scale summer wellness campaign have begun in the Kola Arctic. In 2025, it will cover 17 thousand schoolchildren, of whom more than 5 thousand are children from Murmansk, the press service of the city administration reported on Tuesday, May 13.
Cultural and leisure activities of various kinds are organized for children in the region. The rest will be free for everyone.
According to the Bi-port news agency, 16 day camps will be created on the basis of schools in the regional capital. It is expected that about 2 thousand children will visit them.
For example, 175 students from the regional capital will have a summer vacation at the Gandvig center and the Zelenoborsky Sanatorium boarding school in the Kandalaksha district.
The center for civic and patriotic education "Live in the North!" will host thematic events for 135 children, and another 240 will be able to go on specialized tourist expeditions around the Kola Arctic.
An inclusive health camp will operate on the basis of the branch of Secondary School No. 27 for schoolchildren with disabilities and children with disabilities.
In addition to organizing camps in the Murmansk region, 2,743 children are scheduled to leave for Crimea, Gelendzhik district and Kuban. These are the children of the deceased members of the SVO and who are in a difficult life situation. They will also relax by the sea for free.
The organization of summer holidays for children is one of the priorities of the strategic plan "To live in the North!". This year, about 500 million rubles have been allocated from the federal and regional budgets for it.
