- The expert noted the inconsistency of NATO weapons with the quality stated in the doctrine

NATO weapons do not meet the quality prescribed in the doctrine of the North Atlantic Alliance. This was stated to Izvestia on May 13 by a former special forces officer, retired Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk.
He recalled that the NATO military doctrine was based on the principles of multi-sphere, multi-domain operations for simultaneous combat operations in space, in the air, on land and at sea.
The military expert stressed that the material base of the North Atlantic Alliance is outdated, which is also influenced by the numerous challenges of our time. NATO began to feel this problem particularly acutely during the period of the special military operation by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, when it turned out that the military-industrial complex was unable to provide a continuous flow of ammunition and missiles.
"Many samples of equipment no longer meet the declared quality and are susceptible to air strikes. Especially tanks and armored vehicles. I believe a new functional doctrine will be developed that will prescribe how to act in various situations. Especially when meeting with high—tech opponents, which are the armies of China and Russia," Matviychuk said.
On May 12, the Business Insider portal, citing military experts, reported that the North Atlantic Alliance intends to carry out global changes in military doctrine. It was clarified that such a need arose due to the superiority of the Russian Federation in airspace, as well as the shortage of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Prior to that, on May 8, retired British Navy Commodore Steve Germey said that Russia had shown the world the complete failure of NATO.
