The Cathedral Bells program awaits visitors at the Pokrovsky Cathedral. The main types of Orthodox bells will be heard in the historical bell tower. The program is accompanied by a story about the bell tower of the Pokrovsky Cathedral and the collection of bells of the XVI–XIX centuries, each of which has its own history.

Some of the museum staff were drafted into the Red Army, many joined the people's militia; a small part of the staff evacuated the museum's collection to distant Kostanay. Those who remained in the museum worked tirelessly to bring the Great Victory closer: they were among the first to travel to the sites of the battles that had died out, collecting valuable materials about the war, creating exhibitions and giving lectures in hospitals and factories, raising morale during the days of severe trials.

The Historical Museum has also prepared a special program for visitors with disabilities. Adult visitors with intellectual disabilities will be able to take part in the excursion "Ancient Russia of the IX–XII centuries", during which the staff of the Historical Museum will not only tell about the ancient Russian prince and his retinue, about farmers, merchants and craftsmen, but also conduct a practical lesson on writing on birch bark. For blind and visually impaired children and adolescents, a lesson has been developed on making handmade products from a rare material of plant origin — birch bark.
