U.S. Secretary of Health Robert Kennedy Jr. bathed his grandchildren in a river teeming with bacteria, which is located near Washington. The American newspaper The New York Times reported about this on May 12.

"Kennedy Jr. posted on Sunday photos of himself and his grandchildren swimming in the polluted Washington Creek, where swimming is prohibited because it is used to drain sewers," the publication says.

According to the publication, Kennedy Jr., along with his grandchildren, swam in the Rock Creek Canal, which flows through most of northwest Washington. This river is used to drain excess sewage and stormwater during the rains.

"Fecal contamination and high levels of bacteria, including E. coli, are widespread in the canal. The city banned swimming in all of its waterways more than 50 years ago due to widespread pollution of Rock Creek and other nearby rivers," the newspaper noted.

However, Kennedy Jr. did not pay attention to this and shared the pictures on the social network X. On them, you can see his grandchildren and himself, completely submerged in water.

Earlier, on February 14, Kennedy Jr. reported that U.S. citizens are the most frequently ill among all residents of the world. According to him, the United States buys 70% of all medicines in the world.
