New bridge over Bira in Birobidzhan to be built using new technologies

The EAO is waiting for a large-scale upgrade of the road infrastructure. Work has begun in all municipalities of the autonomous region. They are carried out on behalf of acting Governor Maria Kostyuk.

Safe and comfortable conditions for the movement of cars and pedestrians in the region will be created thanks to concession agreements and with federal support, IA EAOmedia writes.

According to Kostyuk, the construction of a new bridge over the Bira River in Birobidzhan will begin in the near future. It will be vehicular and pedestrian and will ensure safe movement around the city all year round. It will appear on the site of the old bridge.

Modern technologies will be used in the construction of the ferry, it will be built from uncut reinforced concrete beams. Thanks to this, it will be possible to reduce construction time and maintain stability parameters. During construction, a temporary transport and pedestrian bridge will be installed nearby to ensure communication between parts of the city and prevent traffic jams.

Work is currently underway on geological surveys. Then the design of the new facility and its examination will begin. The regional authorities have concluded a concession agreement on the design, construction and operation of the bridge over the Bira with IFR — Vostok 1 LLC.

Earlier it was reported about plans to repair the bridge over the Shchukinka-3 River on the Birobidzhan—Ungun—Leninskoye road and the bridge over the Malaya Samarka River on the Birobidzhan—Amurzet road. The work was to be carried out within the framework of the national project "Safe high-quality roads".
