A WWII hand grenade was found in the Sebezhsky forest

An explosive object was found in the forest area of the Sebezhsky district. The ammunition was found near the village of Kohihi on May 12, according to the main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Pskov region.

Specialists of the mine clearance group of the search and rescue detachment of Velikiye Luki identified the find as a RG-42 hand grenade from the Great Patriotic War.

As the Pskov news feed notes, if an object is found, even if it looks like an explosive one, it is necessary to immediately inform about it by phone: 01, 02 or 101, 102, 112.

In early April, 12 WWII-era munitions were also found in the Sebezhsky municipal district. Explosive objects were found near the village of Dubrovo.
