Avito company held open lessons dedicated to the launch of its interactive simulator "Anti-fraud: what it is, and who protects users on the Internet" as part of the Lesson Numbers project, the Classifieda press service said.

The lessons were held at the company's offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as at schools in Nizhny Novgorod, Vidnoye, Tambov and Samara. At the same time, hundreds of thousands of schoolchildren undergo a virtual simulator during regular computer science lessons and classroom hours. By the end of May, open lessons will be held in 11 more cities.

During the lessons, students will learn about the basic rules of protection on the Internet and get acquainted with the work of specialists who work every day on user security. After that, they can test their knowledge using an interactive simulator that includes three levels of difficulty: for elementary school, for middle school and for high school students. Depending on the level, students will try on the roles of an anti-fraud detective, analyst, ML engineer or product manager. You can also complete the simulator at home, by yourself or with your parents on the website of the Lesson in Numbers project.

Avito is launching a competition in support of the project. Gadgets, tickets to concerts of the stars and a certificate for 500 thousand rubles for a trip around Russia will be raffled off among those who will receive a "5+" rating for completing the simulator. Students also receive virtual points for correctly solving tasks, which they can use to help people or animals right inside the game. Subsequently, Avito will convert the points into real money and transfer them to the Ray and Naked Hearts funds or to purchase inventory for Lisa Alert.

"The digital world opens up incredible opportunities, but it requires awareness and the ability to counter cyber threats. The Lesson in Numbers doesn't just teach students how to protect their data — it educates a generation that will form a secure online space," says Natalia Yumatova, Director of Trust and Security at Avito.
