A project to develop medical tourism will be launched in Russia

VTB Bank has announced the launch of a project aimed at attracting patients from the CIS and other friendly countries for treatment in Russia. VTB Medicine will organize the entire cycle of medical services, providing full support: from finding doctors and clinics to solving transfer and accommodation issues.
"Medical tourism is an important branch of the economy, and we are ready to actively support it, for which we have created a new company, VTB Medicine. I am confident that our new project will become a driver of medical tourism in Russia," said Georgy Gorshkov, Deputy President and Chairman of the VTB Management Board.
According to the bank's estimates, the potential audience of this project will be at least 1 million people annually. According to Sergey Nechaev, CEO of VTB Medicine, research conducted in the CIS countries shows a great demand for prompt and high-quality medical care. At the same time, 90% of respondents in the CIS countries expressed confidence in Russian medicine.
The first partner clinics, both private networks and government institutions (on a fee basis), will join the pilot project in June. It will be possible to apply for the selection of a medical institution in a test mode through the VTB Medicine website and the official information site. Russiamedtravel.ru , created with the support of the Russian Ministry of Health.
According to VTB Medicine estimates, by 2030, the medical tourism market in Russia from the CIS countries, while promoting medical services, may grow by 2 times in terms of the number of patients and more than 3 times in monetary terms.
