The UK opened a case of a terrorist attack after the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a civilian car near Kursk

A criminal case has been opened in connection with the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on a civilian car in the Kursk region. This was announced on May 13 by the official representative of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation Svetlana Petrenko.

It was established that on April 30 of this year, Ukrainian Armed Forces militants attacked a civilian car in the village of Ozerki, Belovsky district, using a drone. As a result of the shelling, the driver was injured and the car was damaged.

"A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under paragraphs "a" and "b" of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act")," Petrenko said in a statement.

During the interrogation, the victim revealed the circumstances, specifying that he was wounded in the leg and could not move independently. He was taken to the hospital by a friend, to whom the man turned for help.

According to Petrenko, fragments of the drone are currently being seized for the appointment of examinations to assess the damage caused. The investigation will identify and bring to justice all Ukrainian militants involved in the crime.

The day before, a criminal case on the terrorist attack was opened on the fact that the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired at the village of Rylsk in the Kursk region. It was clarified that on May 11, the Ukrainian military fired at civilian infrastructure using a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS).

Three civilians were injured in the attack, and a hotel and several residential buildings were also damaged. During the inspection of the scene, parts of the HIMARS MLRS missile were found.
