In the first four months of 2025, 2,647 electric vehicles were sold in Russia. This is three times less than in the same period last year (8,126 units). Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, announced this in his Telegram channel on May 13.

The leader in sales was the Zeekr 001 with 518 units. Avatr is in second place, with a circulation of 218 units. The third was the domestic Evolute I-Pro (208 pcs). Moskvich 3e and Ora 03 rounded out the top five. The top ten electric car market leaders were joined by the Zeekr 7X and Zeekr 009, as well as the Geely EX5, Xiaomi SU7 and Zeekr X.

The analyst noted that three models from the top ten debuted on the Russian market quite recently. So, the first Xiaomi SU7S were registered in Russia in June 2024, the Zeekr 7X appeared on the Russian car market in November last year, and the Geely EX5 officially began selling in the country in February 2025.

On April 29, the Kaliningrad Avtotor plant announced the launch of production of a new line of compact electric vehicles under the Eonyx brand. It will include two models. A presentation will be held in the second quarter of this year, at which the recommended prices for both cars will be announced.

Prior to that, on April 17, Alexander Nikonov, CEO of Avilon AG, said that by the end of 2025, the share of electric vehicles and hybrids in the Russian market could grow to 5%.
