A driver hit two teenagers on Marshal Blucher Avenue in St. Petersburg. They were riding through a pedestrian crossing on the same scooter, a source told Izvestia on May 13.
"The incident occurred on May 12th. The driver was making a turn at a traffic light and did not give an advantage to pedestrians on an electric scooter — a 20-year-old young man and a 17—year-old girl," the source explained.
As a result, the girl was hospitalized in a moderate condition with numerous fractures and bruises.
According to the source, the driver had previously been brought to administrative responsibility under Article 12.19 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules for stopping or parking vehicles") and Article 12.12 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Driving at a forbidding traffic light signal or a forbidding gesture of a traffic controller").
