The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation showed footage of the liberation of Kotlyarovka in the DPR

The Russian Ministry of Defense on Tuesday, May 13, released footage of the liberation of the village of Kotlyarovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) by the military group of forces "Center". They show that there are almost no buildings left in the village: the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have made a powerful fortified area out of Kotlyarovka.

According to the ministry, the Ukrainian military built many dugouts and firing points in the village, hidden in forest plantations, which is why the Russian fighters had to act in conditions of fierce resistance.

However, despite the massive shelling and regular attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Russian military in small groups overcame an open area and gained a foothold in a forest plantation.

The active attack of the attack aircraft was facilitated by careful artillery preparation of the area, including attacks by a large number of UAVs of various types on the fortifications of the Ukrainian militants. As a result, the operators of the FPV drones managed to dislodge the enemy from their positions.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the liberation of Kotlyarovka on May 12. It is specified that the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to over 440 military personnel. In addition, the ministry added that Russian fighters attacked infrastructure facilities at military airfields, a shell assembly shop, ammunition depots and drones of Ukrainian militants, temporary deployment points of their units and foreign mercenaries in 129 districts.
