Artists of the Great Moscow Circus performed in the Donetsk People's Republic

The Bolshoi Moscow Circus with the program "I100 Ria" toured the state circus "Cosmos" in the DPR from April 27 to May 11. This was announced on Tuesday, May 12, by the official portal mos.ru .
The play "I100 Ria" tells how the circus has changed over the years, as the art keeps up with the times.
"The performance has become a journey through time, revealing the secrets of circus art from several eras. The audience was able to see not only its various genres, but also the stages of development in Russia — from the traveling circus of the nineteenth century to the heyday in Soviet and modern times," the statement says.
Separately, the portal reported that the show was attended by at least 40 thousand viewers, and charity shows — 3.6 thousand people. Acrobats, jugglers, and animal trainers performed in front of the audience.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced on March 27 that 259 premieres had been held in the capital's theaters last year. According to him, since 2013, the construction, reconstruction, restoration and overhaul of 103 buildings and premises in 41 city theaters have been completed. It is planned to renovate nine more buildings in the capital by 2030, including the Moscow Operetta Theater, the Hermitage Theater and the Taganka Theater.
