The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Tuesday, May 13, reported an attack on the Palestinian Hamas movement in the city of Khan Yunis.

The Israeli Army claims that the movement's command and control center was located in the Nasser Medical Complex.

"The terrorists used this complex to plan and carry out terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers <...> Senior Hamas officials continue to use the hospital for terrorist activities, cynically and cruelly treating the civilian population in the hospital and its surroundings," a statement on the Telegram channel said.

As a result of the strike, the successor of the head of the Hamas government in the Gaza Strip and the head of finance and institutions of the movement, Ismail Barhoum, was eliminated.

According to the Israeli army, steps were taken before the strike to reduce the risk of harm to the civilian population.

On May 9, the Yemeni rebel movement attacked the Lod airport, known in Israel as Ben Gurion, in Tel Aviv using a hypersonic ballistic missile. The Yemeni military forces reported that their missile forces conducted a precision military operation aimed at Ben Gurion Airport, located in the occupied Yafa region.
